Christian Universities Vs Christian Education - 1602 Words

Christian colleges and universities offer drastically different educational, social, and spiritual benefits compared to public colleges and universities, and I believe the differences are in favour of Christian higher education. A primary impact being that Christianity can be taught without backlash, as well as the lack of atheistic and other non-Christian beliefs to interfere and challenge the Christian beliefs already instilled in Christian students. Also, rather than having distinct clubs and student led organizations dedicated to God and the Bible, God is the strongest focus in every sport, club, organization, and classroom. I would like to acknowledge the views those in opposition to attending a Christian university might offer as well as refute those views. Moving on to the educational differences, I would like to start with the obvious: God is involved in the education at Christian universities with a strong influence. Often, classes will begin with a prayer. Professors tend to as God for guidance for the students as they listen and for themselves as they teach, so that nothing heretical is said in the lesson, and so that the students can remain focused and open to new ideas. I attended a public university for one semester, and in that semester, there was barely any mention of God in a classroom, and there was definitely no prayer to open our hearts and minds to what we were going to learn.
